Product Review

Buyer beware!

Pros:  Attractive; "chef drawer" is handy. Slide out shelves are easy to clean.

Cons:  Reliability.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

We returned from an out of town trip to discover our 15 *month* old frig had gone out. Freezer was fine. Repair indicated a "known problem" with some type of fan which regulates the frig portion (not the freezer). Our extended warranty (why should one be necessary?) covered the service call/part, but all of the contents were toast. Amana disavows any responsibility. This comes after the pump in our Neptune washer went out, 2 circuit boards in our JenAire stove went out, the pump in our Maytag dishwasher went out and now, this. These have all been since the latter were brand new in 1999. It's no wonder poor management drove a Fortune 500 company into the ground. Thank you, Maytag.
