A magnificent magazine of miraculous makeovers

This is the magazine to subscribe to if you want all the latest makeup, hair and fashion tips. Allure magazine "allures" you into it's pages with the beautiful cover shots and then takes you on a journey through the wonderful world of beauty with interviews by the industries top celebrities, hair, makeup and fashion designers such as: Kevyn Aucoin, the world's leading makeup artist , & hair colorist to the stars, Brad Johns. They go into in depth detail on how they create the looks that they do on their superstar clientele and even tell us what products they use to get the look. The photography and the models are absolutely beautiful and you know you are always getting all the inside scoop for the top fashion designers in the world. I don't ever believe there has ever been a magazine on the market quite like Allure; I think they started a trend by letting the consumers into the fashion business by giving them a personal guided tour and behind the scenes look at how trends are started and who is creating them. Don't you love to know what skincare item or lipstick is the color of the month, and want to try it even though you need another new lipstick like you need a hole in your head! I know some of you must be thinking, this girl needs to "get a life", but makeup (and my family) is my passion and when you can see the results that I have seen in my career over the years, then you'd agree, too, that to look good is to feel good!

I work as a professional makeup artist and this magazine is like the beauty bible of our industry! This is a must have if you need to be up to date on all the latest trends and gimmicks going on today . there are makeovers galore in every issue and we all know how much we live to see before and afters! It's my business and I still love to see what a little lipstick and a new haircut can do to some people - it's amazing and Allure delivers all that and much more on a monthly basis!
I get so excited when my new issue arrives in the mail every month and can't wait to read it cover to cover. ( Only when the kids are asleep because this is my quiet time!) Where else can you learn how to pluck your eyebrows, do your own hair color (if you insist on doing it yourself),catch up on the hottest celebrity,Jennifer Lopez, and learn how to get rid of those jiggly thighs in one sitting! Only in Allure and that was the January 2001 issue.

This is a dream magazine for me as a makeup artist and if you love makeovers as much as I do, then this is the magazine for you! If you're looking for recipes and Dear Abby then this isn't your cup of tea -it's pure self indulgent fun and after all, aren't we worth it!
