For both fans and non fans of comics.

My first experience with Marvel Ultimate Alliance is with a friend with Coop play. Admittedly I am not a big comic fan, I know the main characters and read some X-Men comics as a kid, but nothing recently. As I started playing I enjoyed the many enemies coming after you and the easy hack and slash controls you can use to get through them. As the game wears on there are more moves your characters can employ and you will learn some on your own. The most advanced are the combos you and your partner can pull off together, those do great deals of damage. After you complete the first level you travel to another level which is like your base and there you can choose to do whatever from mini games that can help your character get more powerful to go on to the next level in the story. Speaking of making your character powerful, this game is full of leveling elements and different equipment for your character. This allows for a level of customization and you could have a totally different character from someone else even though you both play as say, Captain America.
After my first coop playing session I had to buy the game, the more I played it the more it reminded me of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade from when I was a kid. This is not a game you play for a great challenge in learning how to do things, but it is something very good for a simple hack and slash.
