What a waste.

Date of Review: Jan 29, 2001

The Bottom Line:  If you can help it, don't buy this game.
I was so excited when I saw this game on the shelve. That excitement quickly vanished. This game is far to easy...I've been able to double and triple bagel every opponent. For all of you non tennis players a bagel is a set score of 0. Hitting winners on this game is a breeze and all of the player have the same attributes. Anyone who knows tennis knows that Gustavo Kuerten cannot serve nearly as fast as Mark Phillippousis or Richard Krajicek. Nintendo could have done a much better job developing this game. The sound is awful, just a few crowd noised repeated throughout the match and the chair umpire constantly saying, "Quiet please!" The sporatic cell phone ringing was a nice touch, but hardly enough to save the game. I feel that tennis fans have been seriously cheated.

Pros
Some big names like Mark Phillippousis and Gustavo Kuerten.
Cons
Unrealistic, not challenging.
