If it breaks, just throw it away

I was so thrilled to receive the All-Clad slow cooker as a gift. I used it happily for 18 months. Last week, however, I plugged it in and the control panel read all 8s. Because it is out of warranty, I looked for local repairmen. No one in the city of Seattle can repair this All-clad cooker, because All-Clad doesn't supply parts. I emailed All-Clad and received a standard reply that showed that no one had really read my message. So I called All-Clad and was told that they don't do repairs. They said my only option is to buy a new one.
The All-Clad is a great slow cooker, with even heat and a good heavy pot. But not having the option to repair an appliance this expensive is not acceptable. For the price, All-Clad could at least have a longer warranty. I can't possibly recommend this cooker.
