Pros: Superb storytelling, breathless pacing, and a major improvement over season four.
Cons: A few undernourished characters and a strong sense of familiarity damper the show's final year.
The Bottom Line: A fitting and entertaining end to a memorable series.
Review: Considering all the challenges the creative staff were faced with this year, Alias fifth and final season is a remarkable success. Jennifer Garners real-life pregnancy meant that she would not be able to do her head-spinning martial arts moves ...

Pros: -Cast
-Production
Cons: season's storyline not as great as the first
The Bottom Line: Watching the final season of Alias reminded me just how much I loved the series in the first place
Review: I remembered watching the final season of Alias and not even making it up to the second half of the season. What happened? I use to revere this show, watch it every Sunday, and not dare miss an episode. Maybe it was a busy year; maybe I had other ...

Pros: Great acting, return guest appearances of old characters
Cons: A few key characters gone for most of the season
The Bottom Line: While still well worth watching, this is the weakest season of one of my favorite shows.
Review: This set is the fifth and final season of spy show Alias. The show combines elements of fantasy with the action and adventure of the world of spies. The series stars Jennifer Garner as CIA agent Sydney Bristow. By this point in the series, ...

Pros: Interesting new characters, generally good acting, Specific episodes ("Bob"), Series resolution.
Cons: Tired character elements, Very predictable plot and character elements, Some commentaries
The Bottom Line: With its disappointing resolution and plotlines avid "Alias" viewers have already seen, "Alias - The Complete Fifth Season" is largely an argument for terminating a series before it's too late.
Review: There are two examples in recent memory that stand up as the archetypes in my mind for how a television show may go from being the pride and cornerstone of a network to a dismal, quiet end. The first is "Ally McBeal," which struggled after losing Gil ...
