Author's Review
ALIAS Season 2 continues the great tradition of season 1 with amazing stories and plot twists. In the second season, more characters were introduced and it made what was already a complex and intricate story so much more intricate and better.
The one great thing about ALIAS is that they don't settle for the status quo. J.J. Abrams apparently likes to challenge the ordinary with extra-ordinary directing and plots. I guess as the old saying goes, if you have a good product, you make it better. When it's better, you make it great. When it's great, you change it so it does not become dull.
After a year and a half of trying to bring down SD-6, the show revamps itself and takes a whole new direction while maintaining its basic theme. All I can say about the Super Bowl episode when this happened is, WOW!
Season 2 begins where season 1 left off and in this season, each characters' lives are explored deeper and broader. One thing I love about this show is how multi-dimensional the characters are. All these characters not only face problems in their day jobs but also face problems in their everyday life. Like the same reason we fell in love with Spidey in Spider-man 2, we can relate to these super hero agents by seeing all aspects of their lives.
After getting all my friends hooked on the series, my girlfriend bought me season 2 as a present. Needless to say, with a story line just as good if not better than the first season, we all spent a lot of time hanging out catching up with the show.
With the third season coming out and the fourth season starting in a few months, I highly recommend picking up this DVD set as well as season 1 and catch up on the story. If you like drama of any kind, this is one feel good drama that you should not miss out. The show has something for everyone and it honestly is one of the best TV to DVD sets out there.
