Pros: Better story

Cons: Over emotional, Colin Farrell, Accents

Pros: Wonderful capture of the era.  Great acting.  Action violence, and romance.

Cons: Too timid with Alexander's love life.  Unfocused.

The Bottom Line: Beautiful and captivating, it just failed to live up to its potential.
