Deceptive Marketing

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition with the emphasis from gaming sites and I believe a few developer videos that this game would be subscription free.

There is a subscription fee.

I refuse to buy any games that are subscription based anymore because these companies do not release enough content or upkeep to warrant my fee.

I am an ex-diehard WoW player who left WoW for this very reason. I purchased Age of Conan specifically because it was SUPPOSED to be subscription free.

Not only did the game go up in price from when I pre-ordered ($11.30 more) but it became subscription based even though more than a year of hype on every gaming site made it clear that it was subscription free.

I'm furious and will never trust edios with an MMO again. I wasted nearly $100 on the Collectors Edition which is now a glorified doorstop. Eidos will not get another dime from me again for any MMO they ever release in my lifetime.

To add insult to injury the game took nearly 3 HOURS TO INSTALL. Then another HOUR just to update the first time. Then I was FORCED to submit to some kind of payment system before I was allowed to even play. I didn't bother. Packed the game back up in it's box and I'm not using it as a plant stand.
