Disappointed in the AT&T brand ....

Having done a lot of research, the marketing folks at AT&T did there job convincing me this was the right phone for an office/home situation. Having seen photos (design and color scheme was perfect for my decor) and read as much as I could, the next step was to make a purchase.

My initial disappointment was the ongoing complaints from callers (friends & associates alike)regards the poor clarity of my outgoing message; their left messages were nearly as inaudible. I even attempted recording my voice on several of the handsets in the closet and slightly muting the mic ... all to no avail. Additionally, while using the speakerphone feature, the other party's voice would modulate from a virtual whisper to a scream.

Next the handset to the base phone is not very secure in its cradle. After a day or so, it starts to feel comfortable in your hand, however, I found myself being tentative when I hung it up.

Also the handset chargers are extremely light weight thus suggesting a lack of stability as a holder.

More bells & whistles (multiple melody choices, etc.) than fine tuning the basic reason for having a phone in the first place .... to hear and be heard clearly!
