My First Car...An Acura RSX Type S!!!

by   zwall ,  May 17, 2005
Pros: Power is incredible, Looks (get it in black), Sound System...
Cons: Hmmm, can't think of any so far...
The Bottom Line: Buy it! It's worth every penny you'll spend!
Review: It's crazy I know...but I'm lovin it!!! I'm 18. I bought/was given, a 2003 Acura RSX-S with about 38000 miles on it. Got it for 17 grand. It's got a modded air intake system, charcoal gray rims...loaded. I'm a web developer, and I closed a deal with a ...

Very fun daily driver (Type-S)

by   ryangibson77 ,  Mar 1, 2007
Pros: Looks, power, handling, auto climate control, sound system
Cons: Requires premium fuel, rough ride, noisy highway speeds, needs deeper bass from sub.
The Bottom Line: Perfect for the daily driver that wants to look forward to driving home.
Review: POWER (Type-S) Compared to the average 4-banger, the engine rocks. Power delivery is very smooth and linear. Passing at any speed is predictable and confidence inspiring. If you are used to a six or eight cylinder engine, it will take some getting ...

The Base RSX - A Review for the Young (at Heart)

by   kpmt012 ,  Sep 1, 2004
Pros: Acceleration, handling, great looking, loads of aftermarket parts available
Cons: HORRIBLE turn radius, Cramped back seat, You see them everywhere
The Bottom Line: The best value for your dollar available right now. Use the extra loots to turn this car into a beast.
Review: First of all, I am a huge Toyotaphile. I normally hate Honda and consider them "the enemy". About a year ago, my girlfriend got an RSX despite my numerous objections. What can I say? This car blew me away. The RSX is beautifully sleek, unbelievably ...

2003 Acura RSX TYPE S

by   enigma2142 ,  Nov 13, 2006
Pros: Great gas mileage Pepy city car Nice drive Awsome interior design
Cons: Engine noise may offend the elderly RPM guage hard to see for tall people
The Bottom Line: Overall great design with minor complaints... I would recommend this car to anyone who can outright buy one. And if u finance get a used one with lox kms.
Review: I purchased my 2003 RSX TYPE-S November 12 2006. I choose the color blue without the spoiler. The car had aftermarket clear tailights already installed and they actually look natural. The Acura has 45000kms, was garage kept and lady driven. the car was ...

2003 Type S Another Excellent Honda Product, WOW!!!

by   solushunz ,  Nov 9, 2004
Pros: Good Looks, Honda Reliability, Quick, Fast, Corners and stops like a race car.
Cons: Potential to speed (but that is why we buy the Type S)
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Type S, because it delivers on every promise to perform (and that it does well)
Review: I must say up front that this is a very biased review. I've owned 2 Honda products (accord & prelude) and 1 Acura Integra. The RSX Type S is my 4th Honda product and by far the best. It is a real blast to drive and provides a fun factor well above 10. ...

RSX Type-S = Best in Class

by   chucky20 ,  Mar 30, 2003
Pros: Acceleration, Handling, Interior, and Value
Cons: Bass on the stereo, tires
The Bottom Line: The Acura RSX Type-S has the best blend of good looks, refinement, performance, and price out of all the cars I was considering and I highly recommend it.
Review: Background:
The Acura RSX came out in 2002 as the replacement for the Integra. Currently there are two models available, the base model with either 5-speed automatic w/sportshift or 5-speed manual and the Type-S model with a 6-speed manual...

Class and Refinement = RSX

by   japs52 ,  Sep 18, 2003
Pros: Sporty and classy exterior, superb transmission, handling, tasteful interior, peppy 4 cyl engine.
Cons: Somewhat harsh ride, road noise, firm seating, missing some little amenities. High Insurance. Thanks Kids!
The Bottom Line: Have some fun driving, no need to be an old fart when you can park this beauty in your lot. Buy it!!!. You will not be disappointed.
Review: I recently purchased a White Base Acura RSX, despite the fact that I'm a lot older than your typical buyer of this make and model. Coming from a late model Honda Accord Sedan, I can only say this baby ROCKS big time, and I would highly recommend this to a ...

Why Do Good Things Come To An End?

by   jei_aguinaldo ,  Dec 5, 2007
Pros: It's a Honda/Acura, Reliable, Dependable, Smoothe, Excellent Styling, Comfortable, Plenty of Torque!
Cons: They stopped making these after 2006 =(
The Bottom Line: Saying that this car is the best car ever would be an understatement.
Review: My first Acura I ever bought was my 2003 Acura RSX Base (Not Type-S). Previously, I have been an avid Honda fan and I decided that it was time I try Honda's upper-end vehicles, an Acura. What brought me to the Acura RSX was it's sleek and stylish design, ...

Acura RSX Type - S ... BUY ONE!

by   jhodg0112 ,  Aug 31, 2006
Pros: Quick throttle; rail-like handling; luxurious, practical interior; fun to drive; reliable
Cons: Stock tires in the rain; Nothing else!
The Bottom Line: If you're thinking of the car, get one, and get a Type S. The car is an all around winner.
Review: I've had my RSX for about 3 years now and it's only gotten better since I first bought it new. I chose the Type S model with the 6 speed transmission because it was only a few thousand more than the Base model. I am very glad I chose to get this model ...

RSX BASE MODEL--road test & inspection

by   arame29 ,  Jun 3, 2003
Pros: Honda listened--many refinements
Cons: where is that xtra 20 H.P being hidden?
The Bottom Line: Superior quality, can't go wrong if you don't need off-the line acceleration. Re-sale value won't be as strong as past generation car. The dealers are discounting DEEP.
Review: After owning a '97 Integra, driving it 135,000 hard miles over six years, having it give me not a day's trouble and getting a cash buyer 24 hours after I put it up for sale, I felt if I didn't at least consider the next-generation Integ, now known as the...
