|
Pros: Fuel Economy, Horsepower, Luxury, Technological Extras, and smooth handling
Cons: Price, Availability
The Bottom Line: When you test drive the RDX at the dealership be sure to really get on it to feel that turbo charger kick in, its very tantilizing.
Review: I purchased my Acura RDX in July of '08 and I must say, I could'nt be happier with it. I originally bought my RDX for my family to take trips in. Now the RDX is my daily driver mainly because of the power it has (240 hp turbo charged), especially on take ...

Pros: Acceleration
Comfort inside Tidy Size Sound system Seats Space inside Paddle shifters Tech package Rear camera Cons: Tranny sometimes lugs motor
Ride can be harsh Fuel economy Uses premium and synthetic oil The Bottom Line: It's a good car to own, as long as you aren't always in the city or always in traffic, due to the MPG factor.
Review: I had an Acura RL (2005) that was coming off lease and it was time for a new car. I decided to buy this time, as my wife's car ('01 Minivan) will be going away within 3 years or so. I looked at lots of cars and trucks, and ended up with the ...

2008 Acura RDX - An Impressive Little CUV
by

Jun 1, 2008
|
|||
|
Pros: Quick
Long list of tech features
Definitely more sport than utility
Cons: More sport than utility
Turbo diminshes 4 cylinder fuel efficiency
The Bottom Line: Although with a suggest MSRP greater than $30K doesn't make this the cheapest CUV around, you definitely don't feel like you compromised sport for utility here. Very fun to drive!
Review: I have my RL (see my other review) in the shop to have a recurring problem with the door handles fixed, after 35K miles I love my RL, but there were some issues with finicky door handles on early years. Anyway, the dealer offered an RDX as a loaner and ...

|
Pros: About $8K cheaper than the Lexus RX. All wheel drive. Lots of gadgets.
Cons: Lots of road and engine noise compared to the Lexus RX. Small second row.
The Bottom Line: If you can afford the Lexus RX, GET IT! Otherwise the cars are almost identical
Review: I just helped my inlaws buy a Brand new 2008 Acura RDX. I bought a Brand new Lexus RX in 2006 (The RX has not changed since). The Acura RDX claims to be a replacement for the Lexus RX, and visually I would say that is true, but here are some ...
