The Puppy Love PC game

My daughter was given the Puppy Love PC game as a Christmas present this past year. My wife bought it for her at Game Stop brand new in the package for only $10.00. It was a great gift to buy on her part. Our daughter had been asking for it for months. We had planned on buying it for her, but left it a surprise since we knew that Christmas was coming soon.

Our daughter was very happy to have gotten the Puppy Love PC game. She is six years old and can operate a computer quite easily. In fact we do not have any game consoles like Nintendo or what have you. So the computer is her primary game source. We use Windows XP on her computer. She has been using her computer since she was two years old. I must say that she is very smart when it comes to the computer now. It is easy for her to get the hang of playing games like the Puppy Love PC game.

To install the game:

To install the Puppy Love PC game all you need to do is remove the plastic and open the CD case. Then put the CD in to your CD rom. After that you need to select an install option. They give you two options. The custom install option lets you choose where you want the game to be installed to. The recommended install option placed the game on to your C drive and places a short cut icon for the game on to your desk top. We chose the recommended install. After that the game took about 2 minutes or so to finish the installation process.

The Puppy Love PC game for Windows is meant for use in computers that run Windows 98 and higher versions of Windows.

To play the game:

Playing the game is easy. All my daughter has to do is take care of the puppy that she chooses. You can choose from many breeds of puppies to play with. You choose your puppy that you would like to use , and then you name it the name that you like best. After that you put your own name in. Then go ahead and choose the gender of your dog male or female. After that you click play. And your set to go. It is all rather simple.

Once you are done typing your information in you end up at the back yard of a house. Here you have your dog, he or she is ready to play with you now. You can play with your dog, such as playing frisbee, playing fetch with a ball or toy stuffed animal and so on. Then you can feed your dog. You are started off with very little food and very little money. So you will need to find ways to make some money. You can enter contests or search around and find money as well.

Once you have money you are able to buy brushes, toys, other kinds of foods and treats for training. You can get dog houses, trees for the yard where your puppy lives and much more. Earning money through contests is the easies way. Like the fetch contest you can earn from $50.00 to $300.00 puppy play dollars to spend in the store.

You have options that allow you to go to the store, go to the park, go for a walk, go back home and many other options. Through out the game you will need to make sure that your dog is fed, bathed, brushed, given water, given love and more. The happier the puppy is, the more tricks he will be willing to learn and the better he will listen to commands that you give him.

The tricks that you teach your puppy stay learned once he learns them. He will never lose points in those skills or forget what you have already taught him. He can learn to sit, stay, roll over, jump up, fetch and many more tricks. The more he knows of a trick the better he will be at contests that involve that skill, and the more money you will earn when you enter him in contests involving that skill.

That is the basic rules of the game. The objects is to learn to take care of your pet and have fun doing it. I would say that this would be great for any child. But better for children who need to learn responsibility involving pets and care of pets. My daughter was very in to it from the first day she had it until now when she still plays it. Of course now she has gone from one or two dogs to having about 30 or more different ones. You can only have one dog in each yard though.

How well my daughter liked it:

Lets just say that my daughter plays the Puppy Love PC game at least once per day if not more. When her computer broke down I had to install it on mine for her until her's was fixed. She was very upset and wanted her game back. I had no trouble filling her wish on that because I knew how well she liked the game to begin with. She has had endless hours of fun with it.

My final recommendation:

This game would be great for any age over three to play and enjoy. My daughter and her friends all love playing it. The price is great. It is not too often that you find a fun game for a cheap price like this. My daughter has learned responsibility from it on how to better care for her real life dog by playing Puppy Love PC game. We could not have asked for a better turn out. I am glad that my wife purchased the Puppy Love PC game for our daughter. And I would recommend buying it.
