Acoustic Guitar So-So

Most of us guitar players who pick up these types of magazines are buying for the four or five guitar tabs included, not for the articles. To a degree Acoustic Guitar has been able to change that a little by putting more emphasis on the writing and not just the looks. There have been some very informative articles about equipment and technique in past issues, but it all depends on the particular issue. Perhaps if they were more consistent, the magazine would sell better. Besides the occasional good article, Acoustic Guitar has done very little to try to distinguish itself from the other leading guitar magazines. My suggestion is to flip through and check each issue out pretty thoroughly before purchasing it.
