My HP helped me ace those killer tests!

Date of Review:  Apr 11, 2001
The Bottom Line: Great calculator for beginners or students. Easy to use and great manual to help you out.
Review: I never thought I would use or need a business calculator. I had always seen my husband use his HP and could never understand any of the functions or equations that he would punch in so quickly on the key pad. I am now a full time student majoring...

And you thought Hewlett Packard only made Personal Computers!

Date of Review:  Dec 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: HP 10B is a easy to use financial calculator that will help you pass your fiance classes with flying colors
Review: Financial calculators are a must for students of finance. It's possible to work out most finance problems by hand, or to use a time value of money table. But in a crunch, when you're taking a finance test and there is little time to spare, a...

Do NOT BUY HP 10B-II if you want a long lasting calculator!

Date of Review:  Jun 2, 2005
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this calculator. I bought 3 in 4 years and the screen failed on all of them.
Review: In 2001, I started studying to become a Certified Financial Planner. The school that I went through strongly recommended the HP 10B-II financial calculator. So I bought one.

It worked well for just over a year and then the display started...

What worked great in college works just as great in the real world

Date of Review:  Nov 19, 2002
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a basic financial calculator that is easy to use and affordable, look no further than the HP 10B.
Review: I purchased this calculator 4 years ago or so while I was a business/finance student in college. The reason I bought this particular model was that one of my finance books had tutorials for the 10B in each chapter and step by step operation of the...

HP 10b - I have abused this calculator for 5 YEARS!

Date of Review:  Sep 24, 2000
Review: The Hewlett Packard 10B financial calculator is a workhorse. Not only is it easy to use, but it is (in my best estimation) unbreakable!

I can thank my friends in the mortgage industry for turning me on to this amazing financial calculator...

A step backward (or two) from the 10B

Date of Review:  Jul 24, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you can find the original 10B on eBay, buy it. Buy the 10BII only as a last resort.
Review: I've been using an HP 10B for about eight years now and have been quite pleased with it. I work in commercial banking so my calculator gets a LOT of daily use. Recently I decided to keep the 10B at home and picked up a 10BII for use at work.

HP 10BII Good While It Lasts

Date of Review:  Aug 5, 2003
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it unless you are prepared to buy another one by the time the warranty expires.
Review: I was very happy when I first bought it. Compared to the 12C, it is simple for basic calculator functions as well as time value of money. I bought one along with several of my colleagues for a class we were taking. After the first year, parts of the...

sadly can't recommend

Date of Review:  Jun 6, 2005
Review: I bought this calculator for two reasons: it offered all the functions and features that I wanted (of which there are many) and because of my trust, from long association, in the HP brand.

Sadly, I've been utterly disappointed with the...

University and Beyond

Date of Review:  Aug 17, 2000
