I recently built a computer using this motherboard, and it was my first Intel machine that I have ever built. This computer has been working like a charm for about 3 months now, and it is very fast.
When I purchased this, it was $180, but has since gone down. This board has very nice features, including onboard RAID and the passively cooled heatpipe system it uses keeps the north and south bridge chipsets cool without having a fan. It also has an external CMOS switch on the back I/O panel, allowing you to clear the CMOS without having to reset the jumper or take out the battery. There are also 2 eSATA ports on the back I/O, which I have not used yet, but I have heard they allow faster transfer speeds compared to USB 2.0 and Firewire. All of the capacitors on this motherboard are solid-state, which means they will allow the board to be more stable and extend the life.
The board itself has a sleek look to it, with a dark blue PCB and black expansion card covers. I also like the look of the copper heatpipe system.
Now, for the overclockers out there, this boards BIOS has a nice set of features that allow you to overclock your processor. The overclocking performance on this board is also very nice. I was able to get my E6750 from stock 2.66GHz to 3.4GHz, and my Crucial Ballistix RAM from 800MHz to 1000MHz.
The price on this is not that bad, but I would reccomend something a lot cheaper to anyone that is not looking to overclock or doesn't need RAID. This is only for those PC entusiasts like myself who are looking to get the absolute highest performance through overclocking. The only thing that I wish this would have had is support for SLI/Crossfire. There are 2 PCIx16 slots, but it does not support any multi-GPU technology, which I find a bit odd. Other than that, this board is great for anyone looking to get very high performance without multiple graphics cards.
