Cons: often very sad, production code pregnancy

Pros: wonderful period detail, moving performances
Cons: book was still better
The Bottom Line: A memorable film. Well acted with a great feel for the period. Those familiar with the book may be a little disappointed though.
Review: I really loved this film the first time I saw it and it was still just as wonderful on each consecutive viewing. The only time I found myself disappointed in the film was the first time I watched it after reading the book.
