Coldplay: Wake up to it, Go to Bed with it

Date of Review:  Jul 11, 2003
The Bottom Line: A Rush of Blood to the Head is a nice mellow album with simple likable lyrics that just seem to grow on you.
Review: A Rush of Blood to the Head is a nice mellow album with simple likable lyrics that just seem to grow on you. These guys have been compared to the Beatles with their release of Parachutes and I don't agree because they really don't have the diversity...

Yes, they really are that good!

Date of Review:  Aug 22, 2003
The Bottom Line: Listen to one single first, love it, buy it, enjoy it!
Review: I don't want to boast and say I knew that they would do so well in America. But, I was hooked right away when I heard my first Coldplay single, Don't Panic, in Israel. My immediate attraction came from a combination of Israeli radio stations playing...

Coldplay goes techno!

Date of Review:  Dec 28, 2002
The Bottom Line: T-t-t-techno.
Review: Edit: Looking back on this, while I still agree with the review, I have no idea where I got the title from. It may have been from the techno-like repetition of the music, but... the music itself doesn't sound like techno. *shrugs* Oh well.

Tear drops on my pillow, oh oh!

Date of Review:  Feb 12, 2003
The Bottom Line: This CD is like those crispy Asian air filled rice snacks. Tasty, but they dissolve in your mouth.
Review: Coldplay is not the next Radiohead.

Ok, let me first establish that Coldplay's most recent cd "A Rush of Blood to the Head," is, in fact, thoroughly entertaining. I like to listen to it when I get home from each increasingly frustrating...

Coldplay Finds Their Place In The Music World.

Date of Review:  Feb 25, 2003
The Bottom Line: This is a masterpiece of music, which creates it's own landscape and transports you into another world. Where as their first album 'Parachutes' would be dawn, this album is nightfall.
Review: Many artists have a Sophmore slump, we've seen the dreaded second album destroy many careers. In the case of Chris Martin and company, of Coldplay, 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' is anything but a slump. Growing musically, but still retaining that...

Here are some other interesting songs

Date of Review:  Sep 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: An improvement on "Parachutes", interesting to listen to, more of a 3.5 stars than 4
Review: Coldplay seem to be one of the most understated bands around. They rarely say anything, and when they do they don?t exactly mince words. Their little spiel about free trade in the liner notes couldn?t be any more bland ? it?s a worthy cause guys,...

Coldplay Put a Smile On My Face

Date of Review:  Oct 17, 2002
The Bottom Line: "Clocks" is almost worth the price of the album on it's own. How fortunate for us that the rest of the album measures up too.
Review: A couple years a go around this time, a little known band called Coldplay released their first major label album. It was called "Parachutes". On the suggestion of a trusted friend, I took a pretty big risk. I bought this album having never heard a...

A Rush of Blood to the Heart (not to the brain!)

Date of Review:  Oct 5, 2004
The Bottom Line: Despite many reservations, if you enjoy beautiful ballads, you should enjoy this. If not you might want to look elsewhere. Mildly recommended.
Review: I really probably shouldn't enjoy this album even half as much as I do. Aside for being shamelessly unoriginal, none of the music here is exactly what I would call particularly interesting – especially as far as the non-vocal melodies go – and it...

Coldplay's Big Break

Date of Review:  Mar 24, 2003
The Bottom Line: A step forward for this rising young band, who definitely have a bright future.
Review: Coldplay's debut album "Parachutes" recieved high praise from critics, and all of my friends seemed to love it as well. I didn't seem to 'get' it however, and even though there were 4 or 5 good songs, and a couple of decent ones, the album as a...

This rush of blood to the head is bloody good!

Date of Review:  Jun 18, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you've never listened to this album before, do yourself a favor and listen to it.
Review: I've never reviewed a music album before, so if it's not all that good, don't blame me. Anyway, I'd like to say that this rush of blood to the head is bloody good. Some of this music is sheer wonder. You sometimes wonder when listening to this CD if...
