The Best Book of Its Kind

If you saw the movie and liked it, you will love the book "A Civil Action". The author Jonathan Hall does a masterful job of keeping an incredibly true and complicated tale simple, concise and vastly entertaining. It is one of the best books of its genre I have ever read.

Imagine being parents whose children are wasting away and dying in a small town and you don't know why and then you find out it is due to chemicals dumped by two large corporations. I personally find it hard to fathom the grief and horror of it all. Now imagine you are a successful lawyer who becomes obsessed with getting these folks justice and in the process you are nearly destroyed.

This book is full of pathos and great drama. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but I do not like to be one of those reviewers who spoil a story by telling too much, so read this great book and then see the movie. But be forewarned, the movie is not as engaging as the book.
