AT&T BASIC!

This phone I bought because we needed a simple, corded phone down in the laundry room, since no cordless or cell phones ever work properly down there.

I looked over the box & said this will be good.

Got it home, installed it & was happy to hear the ring,  Lighted Keypad, Volume Control Receiver, Redial Last Number, Flash Button, it was a typical phone with the basics. All that I needed.

Tried it out, called my hubby & he was wondering where I was..he said I sounded like I was in a closet. Even with the volume up at it highest set, but it did the job that I expected from the entire $7.00 I paid for it.

No electricity needed for this phone! So when the power goes out & all the "other" phones won't work this AT&T will!

The numbers light up nicely & the keys are perfect sized.

The cord is a pain, it is way too short, and with the handset to the cradle is about 1 foot uncoiled, I replaced with a longer cord, now its wall mounted!

I have always enjoyed using a product that can be easy to use, install & maintain. I liked it so much I put on in our 10yr old daughters room. (This is where the TRUE DURABILITY TEST COMES IN)

The first one was through in 6.5 weeks. She dropped it ALOT! Her phone was duct-taped up after the 3rd big drop from her top bunk, BUT it still worked!! We got her a longer cord, wall mounted it and it was fine for another 3 weeks. But she dropped the handset another 15 times (at least) IT STILL WORKED! More tape held it together, but it worked like new.

The sound had somehow lowered after the 6th week & she got tired of asking her classmate to speak up & we got her another one the same phone of course!

I see this as a great item for kids who are too rough!! Or just want this for extra room, but would be great for every home to have in case your cell phone, cordless phones are not working because there is no power.
