Excellent Value, Worth every dollar.

by   powerreviews ,  Feb 16, 2003
Pros: Reception is excellent, speaker phone, corded phone is helpful, 2-lines
Cons: Battery life could be a bit better, no AA slot in case of outage
The Bottom Line: If you want a quality phone with nice, plentiful features, look no further. It is worth every dollar.
Review: The AT&T 2462 is the best corded/cordless combo you can find in the market today. I was mostly impressed that a 2-line phone can be this good. The box was pretty small and was easy to carry. The package came with a phone jack, a cord for the corded phone...

The Bottom Line: If you need a cordless 2 line phone, run out (or connect to the net) and get this one now. You won't be sorry!
Review: I won't make this review too long. Just going to tell you what a wonderful phone system this is. I just got rid of my Siemens 2.4GHz 8 handset 2 line system and replaced it with the AT&T 2462. This is a great system. Works like it should. What you get...

AT&T delivered the goods in fine style -- thankfully!

by   attreviewer ,  Jan 22, 2004
Pros: The AT&T 2462 system measured up to the standards described by the favorable reviewers.
Cons: I have to depress the Line 1/2 button before picking up headset.
The Bottom Line: I recommend that interested folks pay attention to the positive reviews when making a judgement about the features provided by the AT&T 2462 cordless phone system.
Review: I spent a lot of time tying to research the pros and cons of the AT&T 2462 2-Line 2.4 GHz phone system. The conflicting reviews are a mystery. I finally placed my confidence in the favorable reviewers as well as the reputation for high quality ...

Overall, we like this phone a lot

by   pokermike ,  Jun 20, 2004
Pros: Clear/good sound quality, good range, and spare battery that the base can operate on
Cons: Not wall mountable, clumsy menu navigation at times, and no shared name/number lists
The Bottom Line: I'd recommend the phone (and have) because of its good range and sound quality.
Review: We've had one now for a while, and my wife and I both like it. She was skeptical at first (because of the price), but has come around and likes the phone, too. It's much clearer than any other cordless phone we tried, and doesn't sound as "tiny" (i.e. ...

Good value with some Nice Features

by   iariz ,  Feb 24, 2004
Pros: Lots of features, second battery port in base, good value
Cons: Some functions not intuitive, base angle not high enough.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this phone for people who need 2 lines and multiple handsets. Great features at good price.
Review: We needed a 2 line phone for our small business. After our old Panasonic was at the end of its life. The AT&T seemed to fit the bill. The price was good and seemed to have nice features. We liked the idea of having a second handset without having to plug ...

Happy customer

by   kevinw_d ,  Nov 11, 2002
Pros: Lots of features, easy menus, nice design.
Cons: Conferencing feature does not work as advertised.
The Bottom Line: I looked at a lot of systems for a home office and found this one had all the features that I needed at a reasonable price.
Review: There are a lot of phones out there for the home office user, but most of them are pretty clunky, complicated and expensive. The AT&T is well-designed, easy-to-use and good value for the price. Got it from Best Buy on an open box deal so only paid...

Barely any cords here!

by   ivy-rose ,  Mar 6, 2003
Pros: minimal cords, great design and feel
Cons: a bit pricey, base handset cord tangles
The Bottom Line: Great phone and excellent if you have the extra cash to spare.
Review: ::Design::
The phone base is black and grey with rounded corners. It's very well designed for a base. The handset feels great in my hand and the buttons are simple and easy to use. The LCD screen is large enough to see incoming calls from...

Not a bad compromise!

by   internutrj ,  Aug 27, 2003
Pros: Separate headset button; headset jack on base; adequate sound quality; can retrieve messages remotely
Cons: one mailbox per line; screen tough to see; menus fair; number of messages not shown
The Bottom Line: I would have no hesitation purchasing this product, although I would go with a 5,8 ghz phone if I did not require all the extras for the home business.
Review: I originally purchased the Siemens Gigaset 8825 for my home office. I required a two line phone, sp ...

Almost there AT&T

by   begreen ,  Aug 23, 2003
Pros: Compact and stylish. Good base functions. Battery backup. Easy menu system.
Cons: Handset, not AT&T's best. Poor range. Switching between lines on the base is unintuitive.
The Bottom Line: Nice design and very full functioned. AT&T almost has it, but the cheap cordless handset and terrible base line switching detract from what could be a top phone.
Review: The 2462 is more than a phone, it's a phone system that packs a lot of features into a small and a ...
