Toms Review

Although i didnt get my Radeon 9700 pro in the official box and it did not come with all the free goodys i did pay a reasonable £144 for it.

Anyway the card i had previously to this was a 9200 and i was looking for something that would run the upcoming HL2. The card itself is relatively easy too install, a bit flimsy connecting the power cable because it feels like it might brake but beleave me it doesnt, once installed i got the latest drivers of the internet for full performances (recomended).

The first game i tryed was PC's Halo which ran very slow on my previous card, also it was not put together very well so its made slow but lookly it ran perfectly, the next game i tryed was a demo of Deus Ex 2: invisable War. On my old card this ran very slow and was bairly playable so i thought it would be an inprovement but still might run slightly slow but too my joy i found it ran on 1280x1024 on full detail including shadows and texture detail and was smooth.

I would recomend this card to anyone who doesnt want to spend god knows how much on the upcoming 9800xt and still wants to run all of the upcoming games such as Medal of Honor: Pacific Assalt, Half Life 2, S-T-A-L-K-E-R and the rest i give it 10/10
