Fast Card
Pros:
Fast, nice image quality, and fast
Cons:
Expensive, 300Watt power supply
The Bottom Line:
Great card, hefty price. If you got money, spend it. If not, just wait for the price to drop.

Author's Review
Got mine at Best Buy with a $25 mail in rebate.
My computer spec: windows xp professional, 2.53 GHz, 512 MB PC2100 RAM, Asus 533P4B motherboard, 4x agp slot, catalyst 3.4 drivers for video card,
Installation: Pretty straight forward installation. Uninstall old video card driver in Windows, shut down, take out old graphcs card, insert new Radeon 9700 Pro in AGP slot, connect power supply, reboot windows, download new 3.4 catalyst drivers, install new drivers - BAM! All set
Speed: My max monitor resolution is 1024x768. I turn up all settings in my games (Wolfenstein, counter-strike, unreal tournament 2003, enemy territory, mafia, etc...) and they all play with good frames per second.
Hardware/Software Conflicts: None
Conclusion: It's a great card that works. But to be honest, even people with a GeForce 3 can get by today's game and I don't think it's worth justifying unless you have extra money to throw around like I did. I hope that when big games like Doom 3 or Half-life 2 come out, this card will be able to handle it and make it worth the investment.
