Pros: Decent TV recording, Captures camcorder footage well with 3rd-party software
Cons: ATI software does not take full advantage of the card's capture capability
The Bottom Line: Use it with the ATI MMC software for viewing and recording TV, but use 3rd-party software for capturing video important to you.
Review: With the advantage of having read the earlier reviews, I am restricting my comments to topics not covered or covered inadequately. In general, I found the TV Wonder VE card to be quite functional and capable of high-quality TV playback and video capture...

Cons: Mono audio [not suitable for surround sound]. Slightly blurry picture
The Bottom Line: This product is recommended for the usual enthusiast. It serves the purpose of a TV tuner card perfectly
Review: Hi people! I'm a 13 year old computer computer nerd reviewing this GREAT product...ATI TV Wonder is a product of simplicity that works fine..Installation is easy, pop in the PCI card, install the drivers software [5-10 mins..]and you're good to go! It ...

Pros: Good "rabbit ears" reception & Fluid video
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A good basic TV, VCR combo, with fluid video and a simple interface.
Review: Where can you get a $39, 19 inch TV/VCR combo?
I bought the card with a reasonable expectations. More than anything, I wanted to be able to browse the web and write email while listening to the 3-4 shows a week I like. My system... |

The ATI TV Wonder VE - Watch TV while Surfing the 'Net |
|||
|
Pros: Latest software and drivers work well, inexpensive,
Cons: Video quality won't quite match your television, yellow tint to still captures
The Bottom Line: A good add in card which allow you to watch TV while computing or surfing the net.
Review: WHAT IS THE ATI TV WONDER? The ATI Wonder VE is ATI's entry level TV Tuner card for your PC, though the only limitation that this card has which warrants the VE (value edition) name is that audio playback is mono. The card installs in a PCI ...

Pros: Half priced.
Cons: Half featured.
The Bottom Line: It's not bad, but there's better stuff out there. Take the VE if you can get it, but take a better card if you can get it instead.
Review: TV capture cards are one of those odd little things. You don't know why anyone would ever need one, but then you get one and you find all kinds of uses for it and pretty soon you can't live without it. ATI makes ...

Pros: PCI SLOT, easy install, UPDATED DRIVERS AVAILABLE at ATI, easy to find at store
Cons: DRIVERS HARD TO CONFIGURE, SYSTEM MAY LOCK UP
The Bottom Line: Neat card and once setup is a value for the price. You must be computer literate or have a buddy that is that can help.
Review: Be warned, This was not an easy card to set up. My install took 4 hours. I have been building my own PC's since 1990. This was a moderately difficult install. My guess it that ATI brand labels this card as the technical support is non-existant. It goes...

Pros: inexpensive tv and video capture
Cons: tricky installation, mono audio
The Bottom Line: good for basic video capture/TV for those wanting stereo input/output should opt for ATI's TV Wonder and not the VE
Review: I purchased ATI's TV-Wonder VE at Best Buy for $39 ($49-$10 rebate)
Installation was a little tricky,Windows XP installed it's own driver for the TV Wonder and I had to manually remove it to get the card to work right My main reason... |

Pros: Good picture quality, cheap
Cons: Horrible drivers/software
The Bottom Line: Good card, bad drivers. The low cost makes up for the bad software.
Review: The ATI TV Wonder VE is a great card it just has one problem, and that really isnt even with the card itself. The drivers and video software that comes with the card has major bugs. The major problem that I have had is in Windows XP (Im not sure if...

Pros: Low price for great-quality TV on your PC
Cons: Software, lousy video capture
The Bottom Line: The basic TV viewing functionality of this tuner card is excellent; the other features it advertises are nearly worthless due to poor software.
Review: Features of this TV card abound. It includes most of the features of the more expensive ATI-TV Wonder, including digital VCR with scheduled viewing, multi-channel preview, and some closed captioning features. I found that most of these were...

Pros: Cheap, no subscription fees
Cons: Crosstalk with sound card
Review: Card installed w/o a hitch on my home built XP computer. Using in conjunction with Matrox Millenium G550. ATI's TV program guide makes recording shows a cinch! No subscription fees is just so sweet. Card uses software encode/decode, so make sure ...
