needs better phonebook support and features

I normally wait for the second round of new technology, but my house phone crapped out, i needed a replacement. After some research , it seemed a unit with bluetooth to link the cell phones to was the new thing. There are only a few on the market and this one seemed to satisfy all me needs plus some. I could have sworn it said on the box you could share phonebooks between handsets and the base. Sadly this is not the case. You have to enter all your numbers on every handset, YUK. The multi cell phone bluetooth link feature works pretty well. It even works from a greater distance than the manual says it's supposed to. The sound is clear and stable, the units are light and comfortable. There's lots of cell phone like options for caller id such as individual ring tones and pictures, but no way to add new pics ( unless I missed it in the manual). I would however trade those features for the ability to dial someone using the phone book in a linked cell phone. My Garmin does it, you'd think this phone would too.
