Ground Breaking Leading Edge Mobile Device

by   jatooley ,  Dec 29, 2006
Pros: Phone, PDA, Music Player, 3 G Internet all in one
Cons: Bulky compared to a regular phone, pricey
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended. The most advanced Pocket PC Phone on the market
Review: This is the holy grail of mobile devices. There is not another product, that is subsidized by a major carrier, that offers the following: Windows Mobile 5.0, High Speed 3 G internet access, International Voice and Data Capabilities. 2 Megapixel Camera ...

Best phone I've ever used and abused (read: modded) for over a year!

by   l3it3r ,  Nov 13, 2008
Pros: Ease of use, expansion friendly, fast service, easily unlocked.
Cons: Bulky, Short Battery life, Stock Operating System and programs are lacking.
The Bottom Line: I highly reccomend this phone to anyone that is obsessed with tinkering and ultimate connectivity.
Review: The year? 2007.  My wife was notoriously standing over my shoulder tapping her foot as I plugged away on my desktop reading and responding to emails.  Checking RSS feeds, and responding to blogs and forum messages.  She had a laptop that I ...

Every day is Christmas as you discover another present this high powered phone offers

by   butwhatdoino ,  Jan 29, 2007
Pros: Qwerty keyboard, Voice activated dialing works well, customizable buttons for simplicity. 3G if available.
Cons: Big, heavy, different from anything your used too. Expensive.
The Bottom Line: It's a great phone that if you take the time to get familiar with it, will more than make up for the heavy price it comes with.
Review: I am a manager of a Cingular store. I have only been working for Cingular for about 1 year. I had never before seen the point in text messaging. (why push 50 buttons to get my point across, when i can push 7 and talk to you). However that is how ...

Cons: Not perfect, but as good as you can get right now.
The Bottom Line: If you like gadgets, use Windows, Windows Media Player, and Outlook this thing syncs up well with your life. I would highly recommend it!

Great SmartPhone, especially w/ Windows Mobile 6 Upgrade

by   louis315 ,  Mar 23, 2008
Pros: Free Upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 Excellent Keyboard Bluetooth Stereo Support Wi-Fi, plus Wireless
Cons: Thicker than most wireless phones Battery may drain quickly if you stay constantly connected.
The Bottom Line: SmartPhones still have a long way to grow, but I'd rather have this 3G Windows Mobile device than iPhone or Blackberry, and I've used all 3.
Review: Most of the PDA user experience is based on software, instead of hardware, but I'll try to focus on this hardware device instead of the Windows Mobile operating system. The phone feels great in the hand, but it seems a little too thick when you put ...

This is fun

by   RJLON ,  Sep 12, 2007
Pros: Truly international, excellent reception, clear calls, well made, good for light browsing
Cons: New model in pipeline (current model lacks HSDPA, videocalling and Windows Mobile 6).
The Bottom Line: If you travel internationally and want reliable phone and internet communication you ought to have one. You might want to wait for new model though.
Review: UPDATE In discussions with AT&T they claim 8525 has HSDPA upgrade. Will add to review when I get back to US and can check this out. I bought my 8525 in San Francisco 2 weeks back. I had tried to decide between it and Treo in NY and WI but neither ...

Cingular 8525 is my newest BEST FRIEND!

by   mhebert ,  Jan 12, 2007
Pros: Loads of features, Windows Mobile included- very familiar look and feel- Word/Excel work great.
Cons: EXPENSIVE! I paid $506.00 for mine- Cheaper with data package, RE: an extra $40.00/month.
The Bottom Line: Yes, Please! While very easy to use, not worth the price if you won't use the features. If you need to simplify your gadgets, a FABULOUS BUY!
Review: Expensive, but great buy! As a tech-driven person, the typical cell phone, mp3 player, digital camera, and scads of notes lining my purse were becoming a real drag. No Longer! I tried another pda-style phone, but was disappointed with the spreadsheet ...

Great SMART phone -- $$ but you get what you pay for

by   key-2-vip ,  Aug 14, 2007
Pros: Feature RICH, PDA functionality, decent phone reception, good battery life, expandable & customizable.
Cons: Jack of all trades -- master of none (cliche but true); expensive, especially with dataplan.
The Bottom Line: Great phone -- good business/tech alternative to iPhone, especially if you're already familiar with Windows Mobile.
Review: After several weeks of research online, comparing this phone to 8125, Blackberry Curve/Pearl & various Treos, I found this to be the best PDA phone on the market today. It's got a huge 2.8" QVGA screen slide out qwerty keyboard (blue backlight) and runs ...
