Great phone!
Date of Review: Jan 11, 2007
The Bottom Line: Overall it's a great phone!
I was given this phone second hand when I moved. Had I been in the store shopping for a phone, the AT&T logo on this one would have made me look right past it, but it was a freebie and better than what I already had so I hooked it up.
The battery life is great! I am known for talking for hours and then setting the phone down somewhere only to find the battery dead. Has not happened so far with this one.
This phone has everything I need - caller ID and answering machine are the two main features I want in a cordless phone.
The sound quality is good. The features are very easy to use. I didn't get a manual with mine since it was used, but I figured out how to do everything I need to do without any problems. Since I live in a good sized, multi-story home, I was happy to see that the number of rings could be changed. The standard four rings just won't cut it if I am in one of the far corners of my home.
This phone is very durable! I drop phones. All the time!
When I drop most phones, they fall apart and the battery needs to be recharged. When I dropped this one, the battery fell out, but I put the battery back in and we were good to go. I love the belt clip on here. Makes losing my phone a lot harder.
My major beef with it is the three clocks... yep that's right three of them. One for the caller ID, one for the answering machine, and one on the front as just a display. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to know when someone called or left a message, and I like the clock on the front of the base, but why do we need three clocks on one phone?!? Seems to me it could get by with just one clock. And when the power goes out, you've got three more clocks to reset.
My daughter would really like to have a speaker phone feature. I however, am glad that this phone doesn't include one. I never use it and listening to her phone conversations while I watch TV is no fun.
