Great Motherboard

I have built every computer I have ever owned. Putting a computer together is easy. Getting the motherboard to recognize the hard drive is never easy. At least until I bought my Asus M2n-mx motherboard.

I was tired of working with a slow computer so I decided to upgrade to a dual core processor. I wanted to do both computers so I bought two motherboards. One was the Asus M2n-mx that I got for a fabulous price. I could only buy one because there was a limit of one during the sale. So the other motherboard was a different brand.

I installed the ASUS M2N-MX SE first. It found my existing hard drive with not problems. I did not have to reformat my hard drive and start from scratch as usual. I did not have
to re-install the operating system. One of the nice features is that you can upgrade the bios from windows.
I purchased ddr2 800 memory for the motherboard. On of the nice features is the dual channel memory. This type of memory works great with the built in Nvidia GeForce graphics card. I am not much of a game player but my son says that the graphics are great.

I went to install the other motherboard and had nothing but problems. The bios was not compatible with the dual core processor even though it was advertised to do so. It needed an upgrade to the bios which when installed totally deleted the bios. I had the board replaced and had the same problem. Finally they agreed to sell me another ASUS M2N-MX SE motherboard. This time the installation was as easy as with the first. I have had the two ASUS M2N-MX SE motherboards for over two months now and I am as happy as I can be.
