Anonymizer leaves you wide open

I just purchased Anonymizer from my local Staples/Business Depot store. It looked good in theory and at only $39 (with a $20 rebate included) I purchased it and eagerly rushed home to try it out. I installed it on the system I use for WEB surfing and everything went perfectly. The registration process had no problems and I was left with a simple 'single-click' window that claimed to allow me to turn it on and off.

Leaving it off for the moment, I hit grc.com and saw that my IP address was quite visible. I quit my browser and turned Anonymizer on. Then I went back to grc.com and was astounded that my IP address was still visible! Well I thought, GRC might have some high tech way to tunnel through and grab my real IP so I then tried my own company's WEB site (that has no fancy technology) and my IP was still visible!

What a total waste of money! OK, I'm only out $20 after the rebate but it's still $20 that I am out on a product that does nothing. NOTHING!

On or off makes NO difference at all. Don't waste your money.
