Great value!

I had been looking for affordable noise-cancelling headphones for sometime, but I could not bring myself to buying one of the expensive Bose ones. I bought these Targus phones at a duty-free shop at Narita Airport just before boarding a 747 back to the USA, and oh boy, I hit a gold mine. I am a rather picky listener, and I get easily disappointed when music is not reproduced particularly in high range. These phones offer decent bass and crisp mid-ranges, and a very acceptable high range. You must understand that no noise-cancelling technology in the market is a magic bullet to crying babies or trash-speaking neighbors. Yet, these Targus phones are so air-tight that they shuts off most noises without turning them on. When the noise-cancelling function is turned on, they surely do a very decent job in reducing the low engine humming noise greatly.

They are EXTREMELY comfortable and I did not have to take them off for the entire duration of my 12-hour flight. My head, ears, or face did not hurt, and I could sleep some with them on. I am sure that the Bose phones are a great buy and may sound better, but these Targus phones are an incredible value. Guaranteed.
