Wow, a budget grinder comes up big.

by   charvet ,  Mar 23, 2009
Pros: Price
Great consistent results
Wide range, from powder fine to very coarse
Quiet
Low dust
Easy to clean
Cons: Not the best looking appliance in the kitchen
Plastic housing
The Bottom Line: Not sure how you can go wrong with this grinder.
Review: When I was in college and starting to get into coffee, I used a simple and cheap blade grinder, but my espresso was crap for so many reasons that I could never really just blame my scorched uneven grind.I moved up to a burr grinder that was ...

This is the one!

by   gjanusz ,  Jan 14, 2008
Pros: Easy to use, works great, looks good! What more could you want!
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: It's a winner!
Review: After intermittent research over the course of several years I decided to buy a Capresso 560 last year. All the reviews I had found for grinders under $250 were mixed, and I didn't want to pay that much. I had so much trouble finding a grinder I wanted ...

Excellent grinder for a reasonable price

by   angbrad03 ,  May 23, 2006
Pros: Easy to use and clean; quiet; no static or heat buildup, preserving coffee taste/aroma.
Cons: Beans storage hopper won't hold a full pound of coffee.
The Bottom Line: The best grinder in this price range, the Capresso will give you consistent, dust-free grind every time, leading to a superb cup of coffee or espresso.
Review: The Capresso Burr grinder is an excellent grinder for the home espresso user. This grinder produces a consistent grind, with minimal dust, preventing a clogged espresso machine and leading to a cup of espresso with a beautiful crema layer on top. The ...

An excellent grinder

by   ns1991 ,  Feb 22, 2007
Pros: Good quality coffee, no mess, convenient to use
Cons: Can't think of any
The Bottom Line: Buy it.
Review: I grind my coffee, both for breakfast and for a mid-day espresso break. I've been using a blade coffee grinder for a few years, finally got tired of the noise and the mess. So I started looking for a good quality burr grinder. Jura/Capresso 560 seems to ...

Great grinder

by   matthall ,  Jan 4, 2007
Pros: Even grind. Grinds espresso. Price!
Cons: Stopping it mid-cycle.
Review: I purchased this grinder based on the other reviews on epinions and liked the price. I wanted a grinder for espresso, and this one had plenty of settings that went well beyond espresso settings. After using the grinder, I am very impressed with it! It ...

Grounds for approval

by   fogbreath ,  Dec 5, 2008
Pros: Easy to use and maintain. Produces quality grounds. Has adequate storage capacity.
Cons: Output hopper assumes a positive charge which causes a few grounds to cling to it.
Review: We have long been discontented with our blade grinder because it didn't have the capacity, was messy to use, and really hadn't provided a good pot of coffee. We bought the Jura-Capresso 560 based on many positive reviews and its value pricing. ...

Pros: Extremely quiet, perfectly uniform grinds, low heat (preserves flavor) no static on grinds...easy clean up!
Cons: A bit cheesy looking for the price. I don't care for the timer system
Review: I went through 3 different grinders before I came here, read these reviews and decided to buy this model! I was a bit concerned at the price but after buying and returning the $50 Cuisinart Burr Grinder...I figured what was an extra $20 bucks. This ...

Yes! This is the one you need

by   mkm-w ,  Aug 27, 2006
Pros: Very consistent particle sizes
Cons: Could be a little more stylish if that's important to you.
Review: After purchasing several different grinders over the years, I think I have finally found the perfect grinder. Other burr grinders were not only noisy, but would produce a fair amount of powdered coffee along with the desired grind. If you use wire ...

Capresso 560 Burr Coffee Grinder

by   rjgeller ,  Dec 5, 2005
Pros: Relative quiet, easy to use, easy to clean
Cons: More expensive than many, but worth the money
Review: This grinder is simple to operate. The coffee grinder basket can hold several days worth of coffee if desired. It is also easy to measure the amount of coffee needed to make 1 pot, and put that in. The fine vs coarse setting can be adjusted in a ...
