Author's Review
To start, I see a lot of people aren't happy with the fact that after mopping with it, it does leave a bit of water underneath. And I understand that. But... the PAYOFF of beautiful, amazingly clean floors is worth it. So put a piece of paper towel down after you're done using it. Problem solved.
Now for the good stuff:
I have 3 cats and a husband that really never takes his shoes off when he comes in. My entire house is hardwood with the exception of the entrances (ceramic tiles) and the bathroom (lino) so my floors were horribly dirty.
I'd walk across the floor with barefeet and they'd be dirty. And I HATED that. We mopped every day and I have about 20 mops, swiffers, wet jets, Mr. Clean mops, Viledas, the whole works in my closet -- and none of them worked.
To prove it, we mopped the floors with a regular mop that just came out of the washer (tide with bleach used) then got a mop bucket, fresh water and mopped.
Then I went over with the Flip It. The water was BLACK!
When I saw the Flip-It commercial I thought "Bissell, your Flip-It is my only hope..." and as soon as I went to town I bought one.
Long story short. I LOVE IT! My floors are so clean, even cleaner than when the hardwood was first installed. My ceramic tiles are wonderful, spotless and the lino in the bathroom, perfect.
Yep, when you're mopping and moving forward, you do have to put a bit of energy into it. But so what. It's not like messing around with an ugly old mop isn't hard. And if you squeeze the water release trigger when you're pushing forward, it's way easier.
The amount of dirt that comes off the floor is unreal and I guarantee that your floors won't get any cleaner.
Sure, there are parts to clean. But isn't that true with a mop? (Think dirty mop bucket, lugging that sucker around the house with you, ugh!)
When you're done you empty the water/dirt collection container, rinse it out (takes 15 seconds) and put it back. You take the mop pad out, toss that into the washer and put a new one on. (30 seconds) and rinse out the filter.
I keep mine preloaded with water/formula so it's always on hand when I need it. And I've used it daily.
The bottom line is, this is the best floor cleaning product I've used and my floors have never been cleaner.
The price is good, but knowing what I know now, I'd have paid double the price to get my hands on this nifty, handy and powerful floor cleaner!
