I can't get you out of my head....WHO ARE YOU?

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have such a special chemistry onscreen. I saw it in the Wedding Singer and again in 50 first dates. I believe they were made to act together. I loved this movie so much, it had everything in a movie I like. A little romance, a little comedy (nothing too off the wall), beautiful scenery and a happy ending.

Henry Roth is a bachelor afraid of commitment. So he is a typical male - lying to the female tourists just long enough to get a little action. Then he meets Lucy, a girl who lives on the same Hawaiian Island as he. He falls for her the first day he sees her and is eager to make a date for the same time tomorrow. So tomorrow he is waiting when she walks in and doesn't even acknowledge him. Of course, he finds out that she has short term memory loss due to brain damage caused by an automobile accident last year. For the last year she has woke up believing it is the day of the accident and carried on with her plans for that day. Her father and brother allow her to believe this by sitting out the same newspaper, watching the same football game, etc. Of course, her family does not want this guy coming in ruining it all. But Henry takes the chance because he has found his true love. Just as he becomes ready to commit to her, she decides not to ruin his life. She takes out all her journal entries of him and refuses to see him anymore. Henry goes forth with his plans to sail to Alaska but he doesn't get far. Lucy's father has a talk with him and Henry goes to Lucy. She doesn't know who he is but she cannot get him out of her head - she has a lot of pictures that she painted of him. And so....they live happily ever after.

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler were so wonderful together. Rob Schneider did not disappoint in his comedic performance. Sean Astin gives a suprisingly funny performance. Throw in Blake Clark, Tina Fey, Dan Akroyd, a hilarious penguin and walrus and you have a cast that puts the icing on the cake.

I went to this movie with my 41 year old husband and my 11 year old daughter. I enjoyed it but my husband, who is a comedy lover, said he would have preferred to see it on video, it wasn't bad just in his opinion not good enough to spend that much money on. My 11 year old enjoyed it but I don't think she should have seen it as there was a lot of sexual and drug references.
