So Far So Good

I bought this set just prior to the NFL season and have found it to be a great performer. I am surprised at the other reviews because I have had little issues with the TV. My concerns are more with Direct TV than anything else. Voice and picture on locals are sometimes out of sync. I do not use the sound on the TV but use surround sound instead. Ambilight is nice but not a major "I have to have". Easy to set up and looking forward to a Sony DVD player that will take that venue up a notch. I paid $1800 for this set which is now at least $200 less than that at Best Buy. In retrospect I should have gotten extended warranty. Warranty from Phillips is $800 which I felt was not a great show of confidence in the product. I do get some glare from windows but not enough to convince me that I should have gotten a LCD. Overall I would buy it again.
