Philips Plasma 42pf9630a has green banding in picture

Pros: You don't worry about burn in because the picture is already bad.

Cons: Very poor customer service,they are polite, but they don't actually do anything to help you.

I own this TV but wish I didn't. The picture shows green on the shadow side of peoples faces along with a thinner red band (false contour) next to it. I have seen more than one of these TVs with the same problem. The problem is worse with contrast settings below 60. Philips ambilight is not worth the poor picture quality that you get with their Plasmas. Buy a Panasonic and get a picture that isn't annoying to watch.
