Tape on the fly

With the approaching Holidays, namely Christmas, there is a lot of gift giving that goes around and this means a lot of wrapping, which subsequently means a lot of wrapping paper and tape. One of the biggest difficulties that many face is the constant battling with the differences that wrapping paper and tape seem to have. Why these two can't get along eludes me even as we speak, however, we as potential gift wrappers have a new armament. This is the 3M Desktopportable Popup Tape Strip Dispenser. This will help even things up a little come Holiday season but also all year round.

This tape dispenser, unlike others, is loaded with pads of pre-cut pieces of tape that are dispensed like a box of tissues. After pulling one out another pops up in its place ready to be. All you need to do is take one off the top and place it where needed. This helps speed things up in any situation where taping is required because there is no need to rip the tape off the complete roll which at times can result in excess tape and uneven cuts.

Like mentioned before this definitely helps during the Holidays as most likely all of us will wrap at least one present. This helps because the strips of tape dispensed seem to be the perfect size for wrapping jobs and it certainly helps how easy it is dispensed, especially since gift wrapping can be quite the hand consuming process. The other thing that almost seems to good to be true is the fact that the top detaches and has an elastic band that can go around the hand which turns this tape dispenser into a portable and extremely handy ally. This is helpful while gift wrapping or doing any number of projects around home or office.

The dispenser can be removed and reattaches to the base easily and without much hassle and can easily be used in either form. The base is extremely handy as well because it can house up to 4 refill pads of tape. This makes things nice because when each pad runs out you can always remember where you put the refill pads because they are right under the base itself.

Like anything though, the 3M Desktopportable Popup Tape Strip Dispenser has its problems. One of which is that on occasion the strips of tape will get bound up and the next won't pop up which means you will have to open the base up and pull the next piece of tape through manually. This is a minor set back though as it doesn't happen often. Still, however, when it does it can be awfully annoying and when you are trying to do some taping on the fly this may set you back some. Really though this i think is my only beef with the 3M Desktopportable Popup Tape Strip Dispenser, the simplicity of it makes it almost fool proof, which doesn't leave much room for error.

In the end you are looking at a very solid tape dispenser that can be used in a base form and a portable form. It is very handy and can be especially life saving when doing last minute gift wrapping come Christmas, just watch out for occasional slip ups where the next piece of tape won't come out.
