Rival 38651-C 6-Quart Slow Cooker

This slow cooker gets very hot. The first three things I cooked in it burned or all the liquid boiled away, and I used the low setting. Today I prepared stew that completely filled the pot thinking that the other times I just didn't have enough food in the large 6-qt. pot. Even on low the liquid boiled briskly and splattered the underside of the glass lid. Two hours after it was on the "keep warm" cycle, the stew was bubbling around the edges. I have used slow cookers for years and was looking forward to using this one because of its size, timer, and keep warm feature. I am disappointed because it gets so hot and boils or burns everything.
