Every home needs a slow cooker, and this is the one to get!

Date of Review:  Nov 19, 2008
The Bottom Line:

Rival's 6 Quart Slow Cooker is the perfect cooking aid for busy households. It is easy to clean, easy to use, and will cook darn near anything.

Review: Many moons ago, when I was doing my bridal registry, I begged my husband to put a Crock Pot on the list. For several years afterwards, I nagged at him to buy one whenever we passed one in the store. He kept turning me down because he didn't see any...

Would not purchase another one of these crock pots.

Date of Review:  Jan 20, 2009
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this product because the really high temperatures cremate meats, the lid had a poor fit, and it's IMPOSSIBLE to replace the lid if it's broken.
Review: We received this crock pot as a wedding present in May 2005 after we requested it on our registry. We used it about once every couple of months until this Christmas (December 2008). I liked the crockpot's stainless-steel exterior. The oval shape was...

Keep Looking ..... Not worth the $$$$

Date of Review:  Sep 22, 2007
The Bottom Line: This unit was not worth what I paid for it. Bottom line, there are better quality crockpots in this price range.
Review: I bought this unit because of the name brand and because of it's size. I use my crockpot at least once a week on average, so I was willing to invest in something that would last.

My first unit had a malfunction and the manufacturer finally...

Slow'N'Savoury

Date of Review:  Mar 8, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you're going to buy a crockpot and don't want to spend too much, give this a try.
Review: It's that crockpot time of year again. I've been through a few - but they always seem to be Rival. This one, as far as I'm concerned, has been the best so far. Not perfect, but not bad.
I received this as a birthday gift about a year and a half...

Slow Cooker Rival Crock - Aint No Crock!

Date of Review:  Feb 28, 2005
The Bottom Line: Less time in the kitchen. You can bang out a great, nutritious meal. You throw everything in and go to work. When you get home, your dinner is ready!
Review: I was a professional cook and it is still my passion. Having had a restaurant and catering business, I have practically every cooking device ever invented by mankind. Yet, I have never used a slow cooker until recently.

A friend made ribs...

The Rival is NOT a SLOW cooker

Date of Review:  Feb 4, 2008
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend this product. The cooking time is unpredictable because the unit gets too hot.
Review: I received the Rival Oval Programmable Stainless Steel Crock Pot (5.5-qt) as a Christmas present. My crock pot was over 20 years old. It still worked but the temperature/on/off knob was becoming unreliable and I wanted an oval crock instead of the...

So far, worked great for me!

Date of Review:  Mar 24, 2008
The Bottom Line: I would definitely get this slow cooker. Meals turn out tastier than conventional cooking!
Review: I bought this product at a Home depot store because It was on clearance for $24.99 and I have been meaning to buy a slow cooker for quite some time now.... I figured I couldnt beat this price and the brand helped seal the deal for me. I had no idea...

Heating element is FAR too hot

Date of Review:  Mar 1, 2006
The Bottom Line: Avoid this like the plague until Rival solves the problem with the heating element. You can NOT leave this unit to cook all day; it WILL burn your food.
Review: I purchased this crock pot in anticipation of making a huge spaghetti dinner for the Boy Scouts of America. What drew me to this particular slow cooker was the capacity (6 Quarts), the timer (4 or 6 hours high, 8-10 hours low), and the "keep warm"...

Loved It, But It Didn't Last

Date of Review:  Jan 31, 2008
The Bottom Line: After this experience, I'll be avoiding the touch pad design and will stick to dial knobs only.
Review: I've been a big fan of Rival slow cookers since my mom bought one when I was a kid. I loved coming home from school and smelling her Coq au Vin, the dish I still cherish most. I needed a new slow cooker and opted for the sleek looking Rival model...

Disappointing...

Date of Review:  Feb 6, 2007
Review: I bought this crockpot with confidence approximately two years ago. I figured Rival was a well known brand name, and my parents' crockpot has lasted over 30 years. I used it with no problems on an occasional basis (once a month, or so). After owning...
