M3 2008 has outstanding handling and engine. The interiors are well built and more modern but a little less painstaking than the previous version. It really lacks of trays and holders: no place to put sunglasses apart the door trays. You cannot do without DKG (double clutch transmission) M Drive package, that provides extra settings for engine, steering and transmission response and enables "M Dymanic Mode", EDC (Electronic Damper Control). You can do without leather seats (the standard clothe-leather look better and more "sportily") and the 19" wheels (does not give better handling, may be the opposite, and reduce comfort).
It has two souls: it can be a day by day car with trunk adequate for a trip in 4 people or you can transform it in a furious monster just pressing a button. Its quick changes of direction are astonishing, and it's always easy and fun to drive. Clima and air conditioning very good. As for all the BMWs, navigation, entertainment and communication system interfaces are not very modern, intuitive or enjoyable to use, despite the practical "jog" command. A SW redesign would be useful. Voice command is poor and it hardly understands what you want.
Fuel Consumption is not low, but you wouldn’t expect differently from this kind of car.
Overall, it’s a beautiful car that I’d buy again.
