One of the industry's best kept secrets

by   digitalquirk ,  Mar 25, 2006
Pros: This car delivers performance, luxury, and practicality in a great-looking package.
Cons: Back seat not good for tall adults.
The Bottom Line: If you want a luxury and a performance car, need a family sedan, but can only afford one car, this is the car for you.
Review: Introduction You want a sports car, with the handling, power, and style that goes with it. Your significant other would rather get a larger family sedan with plenty of trunk space, decent fuel economy, a smooth family sedan ride, big car safety, ...

Great Value, Nice Ride

by   johngia ,  Jun 11, 2007
Pros: Aggressive appearance, performance, and great value
Cons: Rattling dashboard
Review: I just purchased a 2006 Grand Prix for my son. We purchased the base model, and have been very pleased with the car. I've previously owned a Honda Civic, BMW 325, and Lexus IS300, and the Grand Prix compares well to those 3. It feels quicker and ...

Very nice...

by   froggybabe649 ,  Sep 24, 2005
Pros: Good gas mileage
Cons: expensive
Review: We had this care as a rental car for a month and just fell in love with it. With this vehicle, you are very comfortable while driving it, get good gas mileage, lots of storage space, nice if you have children, and it drives smoothly. I am saving money ...

You won't play chess in the back of the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix.

by   jo.com ,  Jan 21, 2007
Pros: Looks nice; great cockpit; decent highway gas mileage; good crash test stats.
Cons: City mileage is not good; tight back; great power but otherwise average.
The Bottom Line: You get a lot for the money if there are just two of you or one or two small children.
Review: We rented a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix to get from New York to Massachusetts. This finishes the cars we had from December 20, 2006 to January 11, 2007. The features: The car we rented was the automatic 4-door sedan. It has a 3.8L supercharged ...

A Fun Car to Drive

by   williamsbk ,  Oct 12, 2008
Pros: Good driving and average to good MPG.
Cons: Plastic parts that make noise and leg room.
The Bottom Line: I like driving this car and it rates high in the style points, however, if your tall this may not be a vehicle for you.
Review: I have a Grand Prix which I drive as a work vehicle everyday. The best thing about the car is how fun it is to drive around town. It is small enough to scoot through traffic, with an engine that makes passing easy.Handling:The grand Prix ...

'06 Base Grand Prix

by   ekonk ,  Jun 19, 2006
Pros: Decent power and fuel economy, comfortable ride, nice front seats
Cons: Numb steering/handling, awkward backseat entry due to roof slope
The Bottom Line: Solid car with good power, fuel economy, and space. Rear seat entry is a bit awkward, but manageable. Has a sporty image but drives like a family car.
Review: Good car overall. Mine has the 200 hp 3.8L V6 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This offers good acceleration and decent fuel mileage (I get about 25 mpg under mixed city/highway conditions). The car has a sporty feel to it but rides and ...

linky legs

by   linkylegs ,  Jan 1, 2008
Pros: Comfortable seats Large trunk, reasonable mileage. Powerful acceleration.
Cons: Plastic look to dash 18" tires on the front are expensive to replace.
The Bottom Line: If you want a good looking car with lots of power but with the convenience of 4 doors, this car may be the one.
Review: I have been driving this car since Oct 2006 and now have 29,000 miles on the odometer. It has needed only the usual oil changes and routine maintenance. This car has a 5.3L V8 engine with the displacement on demand feature. I love the power and the ...

We are happy with it

by   alt3r_3go ,  Oct 15, 2006
Pros: Looks big, feels sturdy/stocky; looks sporty; trunk size; remote start; travel computer; 4 doors
Cons: Small glove box compartment (barely fits map+). Needs bigger rims. No standard transmission.
The Bottom Line: If I could spend the money, I would go for something like a 2007 Camry, but I am satisfied with this car.
Review: I was looking for a second hand Pontiac G6 bc our budget was a little limited. So The G6 seemed just 'ok', but my husband wasn't convinced with the car. I took it home for the weekend and was returning on monday morning to purchase it, and that's when I ...

BAD BUY

by   mikey0383 ,  Sep 26, 2005
Pros: There are no pros to this model except the trunk has a light bulb.
Cons: Everything about this model is a con except the wide variety of paint schemes.
Review: This model is worse than last years (2005). The interior has shrunk and the passenger leg space on the drivers side is narrower than previous models. The layout of the instrument panel is clumsy and the air conditioning/heating controls are difficult ...
