Mustang Sally!

2006 was another great year for the mustang. It holds the "new-age" version of the 60's mustang as the body style. The new body style mustang is only a year old, which could be good because they probably worked out the kinks from it's debut in 2005. I own a 2006 mustang and Ilove it! It rides better than any other mustang I've owned. My most recent mustang was a 2001, but this one blows that one to pieces in every category.

The V6 now has an amazing 4.0L engine pumping out roughly 210hp. That is up from the previous 1999-2004 model V6's which stood around 190hp with a 3.8L. I can tell you first hand that the sound of this engine, being only a V6, sounds close to older model V8's. And if for any reason you put the pedal to the metal, you will definitely hear the engine roar, feeling every ounce of power under the hood.

An even better feature is the new and improved chassis put in that makes this car feel more like a sedan. Now you won't feel every bump in the road as you would in other sports cars and cruising down the highway is a breeze. Not only is your ride better with a new chasis, but the room is a bit bigger in the interior. There is plenty of leg room for the driver and the passenger, but what surprised me the most was the leg room in the back seat. Now, it's not amazing by any means, but it sure beats the heck out of any older models.

There are tons of little feature that has been added to this car. Some feature come with any model while you might have to pay extra for certain features. Some of the features are, but not limited to:

~New gauge lighting system. You can make you gauges appear in many different colors such as red, green, blue, white, purple, or even orange and you can change the shade of the color. Whether you want a very dark blue or maybe a light sky blue, the sky's the limit on color choices

~V6 models now have an option to add fog lights

~Automatic windows for both sides of the car. The window will roll itself down with the push of a button

~Interior has a modern style of the 60's mustangs such as the round air vents and the style of the numbers on your speedometer and odometer

~Standard air conditioning and heating

~6 disc CD changer

~All models have option of leather or cloth seats


Overall, the new model mustang is a definite buyer. There is honestly not one thing i dislike about the car. Even the gas mileage is decent. I currently get over 22 MPG which isn't terrible at all. It's definitely better than most vehicles and it could be higher, but i drive a lot of city miles. I would recommend this car to anyone who likes a nice ride in a nice car, decent gas mileage, and a little power to boot.
