Our Sentra SE-R isn't your ordinary Sentra!

by   cmiller3200 ,  Mar 20, 2005
Pros: Seats, ride, horsepower, handling
Cons: Interior space, price of avalible upgrades
The Bottom Line: I love this car and recommend it to any one who is looking for a blend of power, performance and versatility.. Way to go nissan!
Review: Ok, so i had a 2003 nissan frontier truck that we liked, but it was just too plain and had a funny smell and made to much noise and was always dirty.. After looking at a number of diffrent cars, we came back to our good ol stand bys Nissan... I test ...

I LOOOVE IT!

by   mconboy1022 ,  Mar 12, 2006
Pros: Trunk size, and seat quality
Cons: The interior appearance, and quality.
Review: Although it is not my car, I do drive it frequently! It's a beautiful looking car, very roomy! (The owner is 6'3" and fits comfortably). The system is a little cheap (it was standard with the SE package), and the trunk is a little small compared to that ...

Great vehicle for the money; a must buy; 27-35+ MPG YES

by   easterly42 ,  Sep 6, 2005
Pros: MPG, handling, comfort, styling, limited outside noise, sound system, and gadgets
Cons: Had two very small chips of paint flake off.
Review: I found this Sentra S to be a great value. I drove this car from Lawton, Ok to El Paso TX 680 miles and was very impressed with its performance and handling. I traded in a 1997 Infiniti Q45 for this Sentra. The Q was getting about 15-19 city and ...

Good first car

by   worlddiva ,  Mar 27, 2007
Pros: classy looking, good storage room in front and in trunk, auxiliary outlet
Cons: some interesting sounds coming from under the hood, smallish in backseat, low gas mileage
The Bottom Line: Good, classy looking car for first time buyers. A little cramped for taller people.
Review: My partner and I bought this car back in May 2005; it was our first major purchase. At first, we did have some issues with the car. It tends to make a slight squeaky sound when accelerating. We had the dealership mechanics take a look at it, and ...

SE-R Spec V- Quality Shmality..

by   shoplmart , top reviewer in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Jun 21, 2005
Pros: Acceleration and handling.
Cons: Interior, Exterior design, Torque steer; still.
The Bottom Line: The SE-R Spec V is a quick sedan, however there are simply better cars in this class .
Review: When I drove the SE-R Spec V back in 2002, Nissan failed to impress me with their attempt at making a sports sedan out of the otherwise humbling Sentra. The 2002 Spec V delivered better performance than the base Sentra, but had many faults that just ...

Great value, cute car

by   adriennead ,  Aug 10, 2005
Pros: great gas mileage, best overall value in class
Cons: some comfort issues, limited backseat space
The Bottom Line: If you're in the market for a compact car, the sentra is definitely a car you should check out.
Review: After you read my first impressions of the car below, be sure to read my comment in the comments section to see how I feel about it a year and a half later. Well, I had a 1997 sentra that I really liked. When it finally rusted out thanks to all the ...

nice car...until all the problems

by   yaminflopper ,  Nov 15, 2007
Pros: nice handling, nice pickup, aux input for ipod
Cons: major repairs, eats through tires
Review: The Spec-V was an excellent car when I purchased it. Nice pickup, superb handling, best stocked stereo I’ve heard. I won some races, I loved fast turning ratio. However, then the problems started happening. First the Cataliter Converter (excuse my ...

Nissan Sentra SE 1.8

by   cw_roamer ,  Jan 7, 2009
Pros: Excellent Gas Mileage
Cons: Bad Charging System, noisy rattling never stops, overpriced, poor dealer service and knowhow
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend this vehicle, but dealer service was incompetent. After three years, I was never sure whether it would start.
Review: I decided I needed better gas mileage than my previous vehicle (1995 Ranger 4.0 L truck) and thought Nissan was a reliable brand. Most of my driving is on long trips but at home, it stayed parked most of the time. Besides a constant rattling ...

Worst purchase to date

by   cmcgov ,  Sep 1, 2005
Pros: The Rockford Fosgate Stereo.
Cons: Everything else.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this car unless your looking for an excuse to hook up with your local Nissan service advisor.
Review: I own the SE model. I have had nothing but problems since I bought this car in December. The first problem was the engine would rev at a light or stop sign, lurch forward, then stall. NICE! Anyway, they fixed the rev & lurch problem (only after 3 service ...
