Author's Review
I was in the market for an Audi TT Quattro Coupe to replace my Audi A4 Quattro. But after driving the RX8, I was hooked: Totally fun, cute, zippy, AND still has a sun-roof! Also, the navigation in the Mazda is better than the Audi's. Fully loaded the RX8 also costs quite a bit less than an even modestly equipped TT (or the BMW 3-series, my other considered car!)
I was upset that in the first month, I went back to the dealership 5 times for something that - although they agreed was a flaw & even had Mazda Reps evaluate & finally a top Mazda engineer - turned out to be a normal operating characteristic. It's okay, because I can downshift myself when it stays in second at a stop; but I just wish they'd known about it the first time I reported it, instead of having to go back so many times.
Still, the dealership was nice enough: made it up to me by putting a 6-disc CD Changer in my car (practically the only upgrade option I didn't already have)!
