2005 Lincoln LS Sport - Used car gem
Pros:
Marvelous value as a premium sport sedan for Corolla coin.
Cons:
Repair costs will be 25-30% higher due to Jaguar DNA
The Bottom Line:
Great value - for $15K with 25,000 miles and a significant portion of factory warranty remaining - find me a sport sedan that compares

Author's Review
If you are looking for something a cut above all the cookie-cutter 4-doors crowding the roads (and yes, I speak of you dear Accord, Camry, Sonata, Fusion, Taurus, etc drivers!) have only $16K to spend (see what that gets you in a new car and check back will ya?) has luxury car appointments like a free-revving aluminum V8, 5-speed selectable AT, and niceties like heated/cooled seats with memory, speed sensitive steering, moonroof, etc, etc, then look no further than a 2 or 3 yr old LS. Sure the interior is little more than a slightly gussied up Taurus and the design is, well, stately if nothing else, but underneath lurks a well-crafted, very enjoyable and sporty sedan than will leave the more expensive Camrys in its wake. The LS never caught on in it's attempt to offer the market a Lincolnesque BMW but that does not mean it is a bad car. On the contrary, the LS is an engaging, entertaining, and classy sports sedan with the chops to go toe to toe with most of its contemporaries for a fraction of the cost. Well equipped, very low miled (18-22k) lightly used models are easy to find at well under any book. And don't be scared off by the V8 MPG - I get 26 on trips and 22 combined - about the same as the Taurus that was traded in.
