The best I have had yet!

I have went through a lot of card readers. I had settled on just using my HP photosmart's built in reader but when I got a new 10MP digital camera last Christmas the pictures would take FOREVER to download! I bought this on a whim out of frustration for $27 at walmart while standing in line at the photo center. But I will tell you I am VERY pleased with my purchase!

We own a Nikon D80 & a canon rebel one using a SD card & the other compact flash... so a single car reader just won't cut it (plus the ones we did buy were CRAP) I like that this is small & portable yet has a base for permanent use! I think my favorite thing is that it detaches from the base & came with a short 8-10" USB cable that is PERFECT for my laptop or the front USB ports on friends computers. I also didn't have to download anything to get it to work!

I think by far my FAVORITE thing though is that you can put up to 4 different types of cards in at once & download from all of them or just access them!!! All the other ones I have had only let you read from on at a time, you have to take the rest out.

It also downloads fast... even my large 10 MP files! I am in photographic heaven :)

The only annoying thing is that all 4 'drives' show up even if you only have one card it. But I found just formatting my card fixed this because it pops up with 'nikond80' instead of drive F.
