AT&T 1722. Style Over Substance.

The Bottom Line: Nice set of features make this answering machine look good on paper, but sub-par recording quality is still a big issue.
Review: The AT&T 1722 is one of the latest stand-alone telephone answering machines to be added to the AT&T consumer telephone roster. It appears to be aimed at people who don't get many messages and have no need for multiple mailboxes.

The Bottom Line: Keep your receipt. If your unit plays back messages with no more clarity than mine you will be returning it.

Muddy sound

Disappointed with AT&T quality (in St. Louis)

Review: It did fair quality service for 22 months, then it became unreliable. It would answer (and record) non-existent calls and not reliably record all actual calls, after its initial fair performance for 22 months.
