Author's Review
The first time I played Battle for Middle-Earth, I could not let go of it. It certainly consumed most of my time for about a month (heh, not entirely healthy, I know). I loved it, plain and simple. I originally bought it because I needed a new game, and I really liked Lord of the Rings anyway, so I figured I'd buy it.
Of course, when I first came purchased it, I never knew it would have been so enjoyable. I love the Real-Time Strategy genre, having only played one other Real-Time Strategy game previously. However, I do not particularly like the fact that there are no alternate camera angles as the screenshots on the box suggests. But I'm able to live with that. One other thing that must be brought to the customer's attention is that if you do not have a high-end graphics card, the graphics settings definitely will not be entirely attractive. Excellent game for those who want to control legions upon legions of units and liberate and conquer lands and destroy the enemy and their fortress.
I would definitely recommend this game. It is, without a doubt, worth your while, and would not be a waste of your money. Live the movies in the Battle for Middle-earth, and use the Ring of Power to your advantage.
