Author's Review
Don't be fooled - this is a multiplayer game. If you read the other reviews, you will see complaints about the AI. That only matters if you aren't playing against real people.
Personally, I jumped right in with the "Instant Action" mode which I was pleasantly surprised was a multiplayer feel very similar to Half-Life Team Fortress (one of my all-time favorites). I was a little more surprised to find out that this was the same way the rest of the game operated, but not really upset. I expected there to be more strategy involved, but I was glad that it is really just a shooter. In other games, you kindof get 2 games for 1 since the single player is much different than the multiplayer. You might consider that a negative, but this way you don't have to wait for the gaming community to build up before you can get into multiplayer mode.
As for down side, the vehicles are almost useless. They are too realistic. The speeder bikes are too fast to control (especially in wooded environments) and the visibility in the AT-ST's is terrible. Even flying the tie fighters is pretty tough. Maybe with practice this could be more fun, but right now it is just a nuisance.
Also, I thought the quality of the graphics was marginal. If you can't make a wookiee look hairy, don't have wookiees. All of the characters seem a little blocky.
