Pros: Vehicles add variety to the gameplay, the best online shooting game
Cons: Squadmates are not as smart as you would think
The Bottom Line: Socom 3 has a few faults, but I overlooked them and saw how marvelous this game is if you give it a chance
Review: When I got the game I was thinking this is going to be an intense shooter game, but I was a little disappointed when I found out that the squadmates will be right near an enemy but not shoot them unless I give them the order. I was also disappointed that ...

Pros: Many Positive improvements.
Cons: No More pre-made single maps. Rounds on average 45mins.
The Bottom Line: Get it, if you had been a following fan of Socom 1 and 2, you will most definately be blown away with all the new features of Socom3
Review: Socom 3. I so wish that this came out as being the first installment to the Socom universal. With so many improvements from Socom 1 and Socom 2 its almost like playing "Ghost Recon." Lets start with the first most noticeable improvements. Graphics: ...

Pros: Highly addictive, entertaining, and realistic
Cons: saving features, headset communications, no options screen
The Bottom Line: Add it to your collection!
Review: So I was fortunate enough to inherit this game from a friend of a friend. Needless to say, I was hooked the minute I started playing. The game is overall great with a few exceptions. The headset ability to give orders should be something that is added ...

Pros: Large maps, Vehicles, Better Single Player, Addicting
Cons: Addicting
Review: This game is one of the most addictive games i've ever played. When i had Socom2 i was addicted to it for about 2 years, my grades in school went down rapidly. I had A's and B's when i got it and a couple months later i had C's and D's because i was so ...

Socom 3: GraveyardFillah ran over MOW--TOWN with precision |
|||
|
Pros: fantastic balance, realism, vehicles, pretty good graphics, great sound effects
Cons: draw distance, can be laggy, single player lacks balance of online, unreasonable unlockables
The Bottom Line: Socom 3 definitely is a step in the right direction, though it doesn't attract any new audiences.
Review: I used to own my former roommate in online shooters when we were in college. The 6 hour Shadow Warrior frag fests were competitive, but I usually came out on top with a good combination of stealth and well-placed sticky bombs. When we moved to Half Life, ...

Fun game, typical SOCOM flaws.

Pros: Good single player, addition of vehicles, customize weapons, 32 players online
Cons: Commands feel a little tedious, graphics have gone down, voice regognition, laggy mutliplay, require "authorization"
The Bottom Line: Even though the single player is lenghty and fun, the multiplayer still remains the heart of this game. It could have been so much more despite its flaws.
Review: I've been playing SOCOM since the first one and I've liked the series but it never got me completely hooked (so I don't know why I keep buying it). This new addition is like the rest in some ways but does great things in other departments. It may ...

Pros: Big Maps and Vehicles.
Cons: Graphics are starting to show their age, and A.I. is still in need of updating.
The Bottom Line: A solid shooter that will delight fans of the series and genre.
Review: After two very successful outings in the popular SOCOM series, one might wonder where the games designers will go next can. Sure they can always add new missions, maps, and weapons, but how do you keep the series fresh yet maintain all of the elements ...

Final addition for PS2

|
Pros: Larger online maps/max players, unlockables from single player, very customizable, no lag
Cons: Slower online play due to larger maps, larger maps, weaker grafics/animation
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this game as there is still no shooter game that can compare to it online or single player.
Review: As a SOCOM 1, SOCOM 2, and now a SOCOM 3 player I can say that Zipper (the game developers/designers) did what the said they were going to do SOCOM 3. They made SOCOM 3 a different game than 1, and 2. And overall they did a decent job. The game ...

Pros: Talking on headsets to friends, ability to change map settings.
Cons: Lag Glitches Cheaters Longer rounds
The Bottom Line: For something different and definitely challenging, play Socom 3. But try not to get mad at not being able to kill at times.
Review: After many release dates being pushed back, we were finally rewarded with the release of Socom 3 in October. The highly awaited game was now just in time for the beginnings of the holiday season and the race was on to learn all the new maps and new ...
