Pros: Unrivaled atmosphere of pure horror, terror and disgust.
Cons: Inconvenience with control & camera angles.
The Bottom Line: 9 for story, 8 for characters, 9.5 for game-play, 7.5 for controls and 10 for effects. Weighted average = 9.2/10
Review: This is the fourth day after the official release of the game here in Hong Kong. I'll try to be non-specific in this review so you get maximum discovery value from your own game-play. Straight up: You play Henry Townsend who wakes up from a ...

Pros: -New charge up weapons system
-A scary game
-Good storyline
-Very addictive
Cons: -Going back to apartment gives levels feeling
-Lack of firearms
-Not for faint hearted
Review: What a great game released by Konami. Definitely disturbing, and I think that if silent hill 5 is as good as this then it could be the greatest game of all time. The thing which I funny (call me sad if you like) was when you phone 555 3750. That noise ...

Cabin Fever |

Pros: Beautiful graphics, intriguing and scary story line
Cons: Still too short, awkward battles
The Bottom Line: This is the perfect game for the upcoming Halloween holiday.
Review: The Silent Hill series has been scaring the gaming community circa 1999 when the first game debuted on the Playstation console. Since then the franchise has been a cult classic amongst horror fans, but is still brooding in Resident Evils shadoweven ...

The Room of Doom, the Plane of Pain, and the Man Ever-sinking Into its Claim. |

|
Pros: Interesting new two-way system. One world's yours, and the other's theirs.
Cons: More weird than scary, Silent Hill 4 removes some of the series' traditional possessions.
The Bottom Line: Contrasted from its previous titles, Silent Hill 4 takes a new path that ultimately doesn't offer a better experience... just a different one.
Review: Inside and outside, there's a darkness waiting, watching, lurking, levitating, sneering, and scaring whether you notice it or not. Konami's mind has been affected by its sickness, its madness, and its wrath. It wants to get you. It wants to find you. It ...

Pros: Great horror game
Cons: None at all
The Bottom Line: For fans of the first three Silent Hills
Review: This is the fourth game in the Silent Hill series and it is also the scariest one in the set. You play as Henry this time and when he awakes in his apartment room he finds his front door chained up from the inside. Locked and bolted, he can't escape the ...

Pros: Longevity, storyline, more thinking than fighting
Cons: Repetitive
The Bottom Line: Interesting title. Try it you might love it.
Review: I have not played any of the other Silent Hill games. This was my first one. Got good reviews so I bought a used copy on ebay for $25.00. Its an interesting title. Odd and requires you to think. It isn't just walk forward, trigger monster, kill ...

Living the Life of a Recluse in Silent Hill 4: The Room |
|||
|
Pros: Creepy story is present and accounted for.
Cons: The new inventory system sucks, and the camera needs to die.
The Bottom Line: The series continues to spiral downward, but there's enough interesting stuff here to warrant a rental.
Review: During the course of my career as a horror film critic, I've complained about one thing time and time again: sequels. While sequels have worked their way into every genre of film these days, no one kind of movie has had their credibility decimated more ...

Pros: Great sound and graphics, some absolutely ghoulish concepts and chilling music
Cons: Uneven fun, deadly slow beginning, bored-sounding voice actors, room possession, inventory overflow, load times
The Bottom Line: Marvelous graphics and sound, but SH4 is dragged down by uneven voice acting, bogus-looking cinemas, Godot-like action lags, and Room possessions. Nearly recommended.
Review: CAUTION: A FEW SPOILERS. When I heard the hushed, despondent singing of "Room of Angel", Silent Hill 4's teaser song, my ears pricked up immediately. Would Silent Hill 4 offer a quantum advance over Silent Hill 3's childish, butchered storyline, ...

Pros: The game sets an unsettling tone.
Cons: Which the gameplay smashes with a wrecking ball.
The Bottom Line: If you can overlook the major flaws this game has, and can put up with how frustrating it is, the story should be satisfactory. Otherwise avoid it.
Review: One of my friends knew that I was a big fan of Silent Hill, so much to my surprise he came up to me out of the blue one day and told me that the newest installment of the series, The Room, had come out today and he had preordered it for me the previous ...

Pros: graphics are ok.
Cons: first person view, inventory system.
The Bottom Line: This game is soo good it dosent even have to take place in Silent Hill.
Review: Taking place in the city of South Ashfield, instead of Silent Hill this time and centers mainly on an ill-fated apartment building, one that lurks evil. What's the evil you say? Will it involve's new demons such as spirit's and what appear's to be ...
